Khartoum: Our relationship with Egypt must be managed more wisely

 Ibrahim Ghandour

Sudanese Foreign Minister Ibrahim Ghandour said that for the sensitivity of the relationship with Egypt and the communication between the peoples of the two countries, the management of the issue of disputes requires more wisdom and competence.

Ghandour said in a statement to the parliament in Khartoum on Monday that the Sudanese-Sudanese Political Consultative Committee, which was held on 20 April 2017 in Khartoum under the chairmanship of the two foreign ministers, reviewed openly and constructs issues of mutual concern, as well as the challenges facing the relations between the two countries And agree on a methodology to deal with issues that are controversial.

“This is a comprehensive file in which several ministries are fully coordinated so that decisions do not conflict with our decisions as foreign ministers of the two countries,” Ghandour said.

The recent period has witnessed a growing tension between Egypt and Sudan, due to crises between the two countries escalating from time to time, most notably the crisis of “Laip and Shalatin”, especially from the Sudanese point of view.
