The US State Department called on US citizens to exercise caution while traveling to Europe for the continued threat of terrorist attacks on the continent.
Foreign citizens should be cautious while in European countries in the next four months.
“The State Department warns American citizens of the ongoing terrorist threat throughout Europe,” the ministry said in a statement. “This warning ends on September 1, 2017.”
“The recent known incidents in France, Russia, Sweden and the United Kingdom have proved that the Da’id organization and related groups have the capacity to plan and carry out terrorist attacks in Europe,” the statement said.
The statement said that “sympathizers with terrorists” or “individual extremists” could carry out attacks without warning.
